Storyboard

Storyboard 1 : Product

Although the storyboard narrows the user journey to a single use case, I do believe that this could be utilized in many different ways, and could also have other additions to suit a more specified environment of use. Throughout my research, I figured that people describe and perceive scent in a very subjective manner. For the smell of ‘Home’, most of us do have a relaxing feeling and a smell of belonging, but what we actually think of is totally different from people to people. With scent being a subjective sense, I thought it was an area that requires personalization, not just buying a ready-made aroma off the shelf.

Storyboard 2 : Installment

After watching a Netflix show from Korea, Culinary Class Wars, I was inspired by a Korean-American chef called Edward Lee. Edward was born and raised in the States, but always had the Korean inside him somewhere. I thought that would be something a lot of people in the US could be feeling as well. I then realized that my project could be an installment, providing an immersive experience for those who have a different sense of belonging other than being a person with a particular nationality. My example is with Korean scent, but it could be for any group.
